About North East CDC
The North East CDC is headed by Mayor Zainul Abidin Rasheed and the district comprises of 3 Group Representation Constituencies (GRCs) and a Single Member Constituency (SMC). They are the Pasir Ris-Punggol, Tampines and Aljunied GRCs and Hougang SMC respectively. The North East CDC serves a population of over 784, 000 residents.
The CDC is responsible for promoting social cohesion through community self-help. It actively enhances community bonding efforts and strengthen social infrastructure and services within the North East district of Singapore to improve the quality of life of its residents. This is done through Assisting the Needy, Bonding the People and Connecting the Community.
